Empire Letterpress and Typefoundry is dedicated to preserving the tradition and craft of fine letterpress printing. Established in 1998 with the acquisition of a simple cylinder press, Empire now boasts an impressive array of heavy, outdated machines and equally obsolete related equipment.

In addition to custom client work where the unique characteristics of letterpress printing is desired, Empire produces original designs for stationery, note cards, invitations, broadsides and other printed matter. Currently, the typefoundry casts metal type for the exclusive use of the Press.
